Pricing and Booking Questions

Call (07) 3067 4271

What goes into the price of a drain call?

The price depends on reaching the affected stretch, the depth at which the line runs, the cause of the trouble and whether a camera inspection is required. You agree a fixed upfront price before any work starts, so there is no hourly rate guesswork.

If I ring in the morning, can someone come that day?

Usually, yes. Same-day attendance is where we can rather than a promise, but a call early in the day gives the plumber the best chance of reaching your drain before evening, anywhere on the district run.

How do I book a visit?

Ring (07) 3067 4271 and describe which fixtures are slow, gurgling or overflowing. The plumber heads out with the right gear for what you have described, and the price is agreed on site before anything starts.

Can I pay by card when the job is done?

You can pay by card or EFTPOS on the day, once the drain has been tested and you have seen water running freely through the line. There is nothing to arrange in advance.

What if the blockage turns out to be in a main?

A blockage in the water authority's main is Unitywater's job, not ours. If the trouble sits in the public network rather than your own pipe, we will tell you straight and point you to the right place to report it.

What should I have ready before I call?

Know which drains are affected, how long the trouble has been building, and roughly where the tank sits if you are on septic. Our contact page lists what else helps, and it makes the first visit faster.

Services and Local Ground Questions

Call (07) 3067 4271

Which drains do you actually work on?

Toilets, sinks, showers and floor wastes, sewer lines, stormwater pipes and downpipes, plus the long private runs that acreage properties depend on. See the full list on our drain services page, with a page on each job.

Why does local drain work revolve around septic tanks?

Unitywater's public sewer map shows no mains anywhere in Wamuran, so households treat wastewater on site. So the tank, its outlet filter and the absorption trench count as plumbing, and all the pipe linking home and tank is the owner's private line.

Does the wet season make blockages worse?

It does. Average annual rainfall here is 1219 mm, falling heavily in summer, and saturated ground beside Wararba Creek and the other waterways stalls septic trenches. Effluent loses somewhere to drain and pushes back along the house line.

Do trees on acreage blocks cause repeat blockages?

They can. Fine roots from tall trees close to the house work into the joints along long drain runs, then swell once inside until the pipe chokes. Clearing restores flow, and a camera run shows which joints need sealing.

Which areas do you cover besides this one?

On the usual circuit we cover Woodford, Elimbah, Caboolture and Bellmere, and this site gives each suburb its own page covering local ground, pipe stock and drain issues.

Is the ground here hard to dig for pipe repairs?

It varies block by block. Blocks climbing towards the D'Aguilar Range sit over shale that digs hard, while alluvial flats beside the creeks keep groundwater close to the surface following wet spells, which slows excavation and influences which repair method gets chosen.
